Medis partner of the Mozambican Association of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (A.M.O.T.)

19 March, 2022

March 19, 2022, marked the national day of the Mozambican Orthopaedist and the 20th anniversary of its association (AMOT).

The celebrations began on 18 March with a presentation at the HCM Orthopaedics auditorium, where several eminent figures in the country’s health and orthopaedic fields were interviewed. Among them were AMOT President, Dr Raul Cossa, the first orthopaedist and founder of AMOT, Dr José Langa, among others. The session culminated in an address by His Excellency the Minister of Health, Professor Dr Armindo Tiago. AMOT members then offered consultations to members and families of the Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR), in which Medis also participated by offering various therapeutic solutions for these patients.

The highlight of the celebrations took place on 19 March at the Desportivo de Maputo pitch, where Medis was challenged by AMOT to a friendly football match. Fortunately, none of the participants needed any intervention, either with plaster or medication. These were moments of great joy and enthusiasm experienced by true partners who contribute to more and better health for the country.
